About
Dr. Mark Geyer specializes in shoulder, hip and knee surgery, and has been in practice over 10 years. He is a native Houstonian from the Spring Branch area, moved to Georgetown in 2018 and has been honored to care for the community since that time. Following his orthopedic training at Duke University Medical Center and The Steadman Clinic in Vail, Colorado, Dr. Geyer brings a wealth of expertise in the areas of arthroscopic surgery, joint replacement, ligament reconstruction, and fracture management.
Dr. Geyer received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from Baylor University in Waco and received his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. He then completed an orthopedic surgery residency at Duke University where he served as a team physician for a local high school as well as for the North Carolina Central University and Duke University athletic teams. Dr. Geyer completed his training by electing to pursue subspecialty training at The Steadman Clinic in Vail, CO. In addition to this world-class clinical training, Dr. Geyer participated in clinical research as well as in the medical coverage of the U.S. Ski and Snowboard teams. He is board-certified in orthopedic surgery.
Dr. Geyer is excited to be a part of the Georgetown Orthopedic Group team and practice in the community in which he lives. The Georgetown Orthopedic Group has a longstanding history of providing excellent orthopedic care to Georgetown and Williamson County, and Dr. Geyer is proud to carry on that tradition.
As if being an orthopedic surgeon does not keep him busy enough, Dr. Geyer loves chasing after (and coaching, carpooling, cleaning up after) his four children, 2 dogs, and a cat. He and his wife love having a large family. In his time away from work, he enjoys working out, barbecuing, hunting with his boys, cooking with his girls, and traveling with his beautiful wife.
