Julia Pickel earned her Bachelor of Healthcare Sciences (Physician Assistant Program) degree and her Master's degree, from the University of Texas at Galveston, in Galveston, Texas.

She is a Licensed Physician Assistant in Texas and is designated as a Certified Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Physician Assistants.

Ms. Pickel has been with Georgetown Orthopedics since 2011. Prior to joining who she considers the best orthopedic surgeons in Central Texas, Ms. Pickel was a Family Practice Physician Assistant at the Georgetown Medical Clinic. She also served as a Physician Assistant in Arizona at Foothills Family Medicine, Twin Pediatrics, and Arizona Medical Clinic Urgent Care.
